Submersible Turbine Pumps

This type of pump is a multistage centrifugal pump. The motor is mounted under the pump instead of above it. In the figure, “A” indicates the motor location. The entire pump assembly is submerged in the well.

In this design the well water, being in contact with the motor casing, provides cooling for the motor.
