Boiler: Section 2

This section shows how an air heater is used in the system. Notice that hot flue gas flows from left to right in the top orange ducting. It flows through the air heater and is routed toward right.

The Forced Draft Fan takes suction from the ambient air and forces air through the air heater. Hot combustion air flows (green duct) from the forced draft fan to left toward the boiler furnace. Notice that the combustion air is introduced in the furnace at many locations (shown in the previous graphic).
