Valve Specification Markings
For easy identification, industrial valve are provided with some key specification or service condition markings, Although there are some common marking standards, but some manufacturers prefer to include their own particular nomenclature as well.
The figure shown here is a valve manufactured by Beric-Davis. The markings on this valve indicate the following:
Valve size: 18”
Class 150 (ANSI Class)
Material WCB (ASTM A216 WCB)
