The figure provided here shows details of a double suction pump internal components.
A: Suction side regions of the pump. Notice that from the suction regions water enters the impeller via its sides.
B: Discharge side of the pump. The discharge side is located in the circumferential regions of the impeller.
D: Impeller.
E: Support bearings on each side of the pump.
F: Pump shaft.
G. Packing (seal) on each side of the pump to prevent water leakage from inside of the pump.
