Group lockout/tagout - continued.
In addition, the following requirements must be met:
a. One authorized employee is designated to be responsible for employees working under the protection of a group lockout/tagout device.
b. One authorized person is designated to coordinate work of multiple groups. The authorized employee is responsible to make sure the entire group is protected in the workplace.
c. Each authorized employee in the group installs a personal lockout/tagout device on the group lockbox.
d. After completion of the job each of the authorized employees is responsible to remove their locks.
e Irrespective of the fact there is one or more authorized employees, they still need to communicate with the affected employees as required in the original procedure.
