Tag Material

It is important to use tags that are appropriate for enhancing employee safety. Tags must meet the following criteria.

a. They must be used exclusively for lockout/tagout purposes.

An industrial organization uses tags for many purposes. For example an organization may be using a tag to identify equipment which needs maintenance help (for example, painting). Or an organization may have some tags that they use to identify garbage. None of these tags may be used for lockout/tagout purposes.

You must acquire specific tags which are used exclusively for lockout/tagout purposes. This eliminates a lot of confusion and enhances employee safety.
