Air Heaters - Continued.

In the figure notice the following:

The hot flue gas enters the air heater at “A”. After that, it passes through a section of the heating element, thereby heating it. After that it leaves the air heater at “F”.

The combustion air enters the air heater at “E”, it passes through the heated element and absorbs some heat, and then leaves the air heater at “J”.

“B” indicates the heating surface.

“C” indicates mechanical supports.

“D” indicates the motor drive used to rotate the rotating element.

“G” indicates the stator (inside which the rotating element rotates).

“H” indicates the rotating hood.
