Left Hand Rule for Generators - continued.
You can apply the same convention to the other side of the loop (light conductor). Notice that as the loop begins to rotate clockwise, the light conductor will move downward. When you apply the left hand rule to this conductor you will find that your middle finger will point in the opposite direction.
Therefore, the net result is that as the coil begins to rotate in the clockwise direction, a voltage will be induced in the coil and a current will flow inward for the lighter side of the loop and outward from the darker side of the loop.
