Parallel Connection of Batteries - continued

This figure illustrates how two batteries which are connected in parallel to each other can be replaced by an equivalent battery.

Notice that in the lower diagram we have replaced the two batteries with one 12V battery. Notice that there is no change in the current being supplied to the resistor. The resistor is also referred to as the “load”.
