Summary of Lever Action

Let’s summarize our findings so far.

There is no way I could have lifted a 500 lb weight, but I was able to do so when I used a lever. The lever allowed me to lift a heavier weight, only if I am willing to pay a price. The price is in the form of long D1. The force must be applied through a longer distance to allow me to lift a heavy weight through a smaller distance. I gladly pay this price, because it allows me to do something which is normally beyond my capability.
