The course materials are supplied by Houston Industrial Training Institute (to be referred as HITI, for the purposes of this document), sometimes in conjunction with its partners, associates and affiliates. The term “training materials” refers to online training materials provided by HITI. 2. HITI is not a Job Placement Agency. No promises or representations are made to students regarding getting them or helping to get them a job in any industry. 3. The training material is not presented as legal, technical or design information. Also, this material is not presented as authoritative interpretation of regulations mentioned therein. For all regulatory, technical, safety, general operational, or design issues, please seek advice from your management, or the relevant regulatory bodies. 4. The information provided in this module represents general information for educational purposes only. Before applying any information at your workplace, you MUST consult with your management or the regulating bodies. In a workplace, you must use procedures and practices authorized by the plant management, not the material presented in these modules. 5. The certification associated with this course is not accredited as higher education and cannot be used as credit towards higher education, for example, a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Process Engineering or journeyman certification in any of the commonly recognized trades. 6. The supplied material is meant for users who are currently enrolled in this course and hold "authorized" status in our records. This material, under all circumstances, remains the property of HITI, consistent with limitations described in separate agreements, if any, with its partners and associates. 8. Users, students and others are not allowed to reverse engineer this software for any purpose. 9. Under any, and all, circumstances HITI, Houston Industrial Training Institute, or its partners and associates shall not be liable for any losses of any kind, arising out of usage of this material, or any eventuality brought about due to usage of these courses. Liability of HITI is limited to the fee paid by the particular student who intends to seek legal redress. Under all circumstances, HITI’s liability is limited to the actual fees paid by a specific student. 10. We believe most industrial employers of all sizes, will accept our certification for entry-level employment. However, some employers may have special requirements. We do not make any guarantees that all or any employers will accept this certification to meet entry level criteria. We urge you to discuss our program with prospective employers before you take the course. We suggest that you print the Course Description and show it to prospective employers to demonstrate the high quality of our courses. 11. Any language or provision noted in this document or other representations made on the HITI website or its officers, found to be illegal, does not render other conditions and limitations illegal. 12. The State of Nevada laws shall govern for all litigations and legal actions. 13. The underlying HITI assumption is: BEFORE a student registers for a course, the student has gone through the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and this document (Terms and Conditions.) It is further assumed that the student agrees to all processes, terms, conditions and limitations noted therein. Students who do not completely agree with these terms and conditions should not register with HITI as a student. 14. We are constantly working on our website and it is possible for some mistakes to get created and slip by. For such cases, we reserve the right to retract any information and replace any information in our courses. For such mistakes or oversights HITI is not liable for any damages whatsoever. We reserve the right to be the sole arbiter for such circumstances. 15. While we take measures to protect our data, but the world we live in is constantly becoming more prone to attacks by hackers and malicious people intent on doing damage. Some of the most secure sites in the world get broken into. We assume no responsibility if our information and data pertaining to our students, is compromised due to malicious attacks or system malfunctions. 16. We reserve the right to change our commercial terms and conditions noted in this and other document. We also reserve the rights to do so without notice to any person or organization. We also reserve the right to offer or not offer our courses to any person or organization, without assigning or stating any reason whatsoever. 17. On aspects relating to performance of students, and pass or fail decisions HITI is the final authority; this authority is not subject to any arbitration. Having established our formal rights, students, if necessary, should feel free to email the registrar for a review of performance related issues (exam marks, etc.) 18. Our courses and the learning material are presented "As Is", no guarantee or representation is made about coverage specific details, quality of presentation mode or technical material. 19. We reserve the right to discontinue service to a specific student without giving any reason; should this was to happen, our liability is limited to refunding of fees received from the student. We are not liable for any other damages or actual or potential losses. 20. If due to any reason including technical, commercial or organizational issues, we are unable to continue to provide service to any student, our liability is limited to the fees paid by the student. Should this eventuality were to occur, HITI shall refund all monies it has received from the students who are unable to complete their course. If you do not agree with the statements made in this document or the FAQs, please DO NOT take any of our courses.
